Great free icons and icon packages
There exists a number of free icons and icon packages on the net, but I have never seen two packages a complete as the popular Famfamfam Silk icon package or the Tango icon “package”.
Feel free to comment if you know some other interesting icon package or packages.

Yes, these free and open source icon packages are nicely and consistent designed
The Famfamfam package contains a lot ore icons than the tango packages, but still the tango package is a great open source icon packages.
I have noticed that the website http://www.gnome-look.org/ also provide a number of free icon packages as well as http://art.gnome.org/themes/icon/ and http://www.kde-look.org/
