Gnome NetworkManagerInfo applet

NetworkManagerInfo applet

Now I have been using Gnome NetworkManagerInfo applet for a few days, but it doesn’t work as well as I thought it would. When I try to connect to a wireless network, it keeps running and running without getting connected at all. The only way I’m able to stop it is with:

/etc/init.d/NetworkManager stop

Afterwards it’s possible to do a

/etc/init.d/network restart

Just to get back on the wired net.

Hopefully the NetworkManager team is in business to fix these very annoying problems.

It appears to be the ALi M5603C
USB2.0 Video Camera Controller ( http://www.ali.com.tw/eng/products/product_detail.php?pserno=11 ) I did not find anything to make it work though.

I just found out that a guy called Luca Risolia is currently doing a driver for the ALi M5603C chip, which the BisonCam is build on.

You can follow the development of the ALi M5603C driver here:
    http://www.linux-projects.org/modules/news/

I wrote Luca yesterday, asking what status was in the development. – but no answer yet.
