Asus A3N series BisonCam Webcam

I just mailed Asus in Sweden, because I couldn’t get the built-in BisonCam Webcam in my Asus A3N series working under Linux Fedora Core 3.

Hello,

I just bought an Asus A3N-series with a built-in webcam, but it does not run natively under Linux 2.6.10, Fedora Core 3.

What kind of chipset is the BisonCam built on?

Do you have any clues on how to get it to work in Linux?

    This chip is also used in Creative Webcam Live! Pro cameras. It would be very nice to get those working as well…

    Check out the sweex 1.3 megapixel USB 2.0 camera on http://www.sweex.com. This has the same chipset and they have drivers!!

    The Asus a3800g too has this camera build in.
    Seems to me, there are different resolutions mentioned for the camera.
    Mine is told to have 0.35 Mpixel.

    I want to re-installl the camera of my Notebook (windows)but I don’t find the driver, it is not on the installation cd

    AFTER REBOOTING MY BUILD IN WEB CAMERA COULD NOT MAKE HER WORK. SYSTEM REQUARES DRIVERS THAT CAME WITH MY LAP TOP BUT I COULD FIND THEM.

    I have a built in Bisoncam in my laptop. It used to work now the screen is black and when i trouble shoot it, it comes up with everything working ok…

    Can anyone help me???

    i have a built in BisonCam in my Laptop.. the camera is inverted… everytime I use it with yahoo messenger… I cant find the tabs in the cam setting on how can i normalize the cam.

    I have ACER Aspire 5100, my webcam stopped work 6 months ago, there is no mention of it any where in my Note-Book, I did have a ICON on my desktop to switch it on. that too has gone.???
    Please let me know how to get it working again.

    try switching off web cam in device manager then switch it back on
